The Idea
Like most start-ups, this all started during a meeting we had at a local coffee shop. As we were all discussing all the transformational changes occurring in online learning and classroom instruction, we kept circling back back to the theme of learning equity. We knew that despite all the innovation in the field of educational technology, current models didn't serve most students in the world because of one simple factor, their access to quality teachers. And so we decided to embark on a journey to change education by making quality supplemental instruction available to anyone in the world regardless of their economic circumstance, connecting students with real teachers.
The Result
Fast forward to today, we remain a small and tightknit community with our collaborators working everyday to democratize education. While we plan on expanding the reach of our products and services, we know that positive learning outcomes often come down to strong student-teacher relationships. And so rather than focusing on numbers, we have decided to focus on the quality of interactions, the human element. That's what makes us different. We treat everyone one of our supporters like rockstars and always put the student first. We focus on the motivational factors to learning and on applying academic knowledge in the real world to be better rounded individuals.
